68 pound FLATHEAD Catfish
Big Ten Tackle,
I wanted to send these to you and thank you for inventing the Bobber With A
Brain! The fish pictured weighed just over 68 pounds and was caught in the Wateree River near where it joins the Congaree River and Santee River where they all come together to form the Santee Cooper lakes. I caught this fish on July 24,2003 on a live 8" Blueback Herring while using your product.
I can see many ways your product could be used effectively, but it is the best item ever manufactured if you are interested in Big Flathead Catfish, as I am.
As you know, flatheads are primarily live bait eaters. As with many other fishermen I know, it has always been a problem trying to find a way to keep live bait suspended off of the bottom. The Bobber With A Brain increases the visibility of the bait without having to put up with all of the problems that slip floats have.
Your product allows this to be done with ease and at the same time makes it more difficult for live bait to burrow on the bottom or swim into bottom structure and the result is hanging up.
I am sorry that I don't have the rod and reel that had the Bobber on it, but it was in my buddies boat.
It is the largest I have caught to date while using your product, but I have caught a lot of 20 lbs+ catfish as well as some stripers when using the Bobber With A Brain.
I would have been in touch with you sooner, but shortly after catching I had an accident, which resulted in surgery and has severely limited my time fishing.
If you ever need a testimonial about the effectiveness of your bobber, you can count on me and I am true believer!!
I am progressing enough so that I should soon be back fishing. If you wish, I will be glad to send some more pictures. Now is the best time of the year for catching the big flatheads at night, and I usually do pretty well. I also have caught some 25lb+ Stripers at night this time of year.
Again, Thanks for a great product and I will certainly be stocking up on them now that I am going to be able to fish more. I am really looking forward to trying your rig with the heavier lines. I have several buddies that have become believers as well and I am sure you will be hearing from them as well. Thanks again and I look forward to hearing from you.
